Weekly thought & writing update.
Elondria is going well – at the moment. I’ve made the discovery this week (not sure how it’s taken me this long) that I write best in the morning. So I’m going to make an effort to get up early enough in the morning that I have time to get my word count done before I go out for the day. I’m hoping that will make my writing life (and rest of life) easier.
I still haven’t started my short story… I really need to get on that if I’m going to have it finished in January. 🙁
We all have choices. Some things don’t feel like choices, but, even if they are really difficult, they are. Example: how we react to people and situations. With practice, and intention, I am learning to react to situations in a more positive way than I would have done – than I did last year. I am learning from my mistakes, and choosing to try to not repeat them.
I say try, because sometimes we react and it’s faster than we can catch.
Life is full of choices, little moments that can change the course of our lives. Maybe they don’t seem significant, but you never know which choice is going to lead to another, larger choice.
Sometimes, the way you react to a situation, can define your future. So try taking a breath, and stepping back from the situation. It’s difficult, but it can be done. And it can save you a lot of trouble.
