Weekly thought & writing update.
I am still working on Elondria. I had a really good day on Friday, writing nearly 4000 words. I really got into it, for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, the mood didn’t last. As I’m not doing much this next week I’m hoping to get more words in, and back get back on target to finish in March.
I am getting there with the short story for Racheal Ritchey’s Adventure contest. I’m not as far along as I would like – still working on the first draft – but I’m happy with what I’ve written so far.
I’ve written one flash fiction piece, Bewildered, on my other blog. Not felt as inspired this week.
Sometimes changes are inevitable. Sometimes they are your choice. Either way, they can be difficult to accept and deal with.
Often, a decision to make a change lurks in the back of my mind for a while before I’m brave enough to take the step of putting it into action. It’s okay to take the time to think things through, and it’s okay to wait until you feel ready to make a change.
People often say that you’ll never feel ready. But I don’t agree with that. Sometimes, you do. Sometimes, you have to come to it in your own time for it to be successful.
Don’t let others push you into action. Choose yourself, when you know the time is right.
